Looking back at the event

In 2009, before we all met in Brighton (UK), it was not decided where to go for the World Conference in 2011. At the Federation meeting in Brighton we raised our hands for organizing this big event.

We are very happy that the Board of the CdLS World Federation at that time invited Denmark to host the World conference in 2011.
This event is a global get-together for people who care about CdLS and it is a huge commitment. The distance between the 4000 families around the world is also huge and therefor it's expensive to take part in a conference like this.
We are still some way in a financial crisis like in Brighton two years ago and it's very difficult to get sponsors.

Denmark is in many ways a small country, only 1,5% of the 4000 families lives in Denmark, but we did it and here we all are.

I would like to pay tribute to Dr. Anne-Marie Bisgaard in special and also to Dr. Lene Lavard. Without their work there would have been no professional program at all. Also a great thanks to Michael Lund Kristensen for arranging and sponsoring the entertainment for the Gala Dinner.
And most of all I would like to thank our visitors for attending. This conference and other associated events should add to the knowledge we have about the syndrome and the social impact that it - and similar conditions - have on our lives. Let's all make the most of it.
