Your watchlist
CdLS World offers a service that will keep you up-to-date when something is modified, a new discussion is started or a new question is asked.
This called 'watchlist'; meaning that you can keep a list of items you think are important to watch. You can add a single page or a group of pages (a space).
Let's assume you are a member of the SAC. Then it is likely you want to be connected to the discussions between SAC members (the SAC Blog). So you would add the 'blogSAC' space to your watchlist.
Then each time some SAC member starts a new blog (=discussion) then you will receive a notification email. You can set the notification frequency. Check with your fellow-members what is a good practice. If you set it to 'weekly' you could be slow in reacting when the rest has set it to 'daily'. Normally 'daily' notifications work fine as you would benefit from the 'small' size of a group connected to a topic as rare as CdLS.
To check your watch list settings (frequency)
- Click on the picture of yourself (after login)
- click on the menu: My profile
- click on the item: Preferences
- You will see information on your preferences, maybe your notification settings will be visible after you 'scroll' up or down your page.
- To modify click edit (often edit is marked with a 'pencil icon'
- set the notification elements
- the frequency
- document watching: we advise any modification, that will also inform you when somebody is correcting text.
To see the list of items you are watching
- click on the picture of yourself
- click on the menu: my Dashboard
- find a list called: my Personal menu (it has a little arrow pointing down)
- click on the little arrow to open the list
- click on the klist item: Your watchlist
You can maybe remove items you do no longer want to watch, especially when you receive a lot of notifications that do not interest you (anymore)
To add a page of space to your list
Most of the time CdLS World will add elements to your watchlist automatically.
Whenever you create, modify or make a comment to a page it will be added automatically.
The platform 'assumes' it is of interest to you when you create, modify or comment it.
Sometimes, especially when you are new to the CdlSWorld it is good to look around and add the items you find interesting.
For anybody
We advise that you watch one or more of the following spaces
- the blog of experience stories
- the cdls publications
- Summary of public information (introductions only)
- In depth information by topic (Only for approved people)
- events (announcements and information about them)
