Adding someone to your child's account

You can add family members, carers and doctors to your child's profile. They do not need to be subscribed to WaihonaPedia.

However, if you would like your child's grandfather or one of her/his caregivers to help you fill out questionnaires, for example, he/she must register at WaihonaPedia.

How do you add someone to your child's profile?

  • Go to your child's account (click on the picture in the green bar)
  • Scroll down; you'll see 3 green blocks now
    • Parent, sister, brother or guardian
    • Family or Friend
    • Doctor, Teacher or Researcher
  • Click on the pen in the upper right corner
  • Click on the 'Add extra caretaker' button
    • Choose the top line if someone is connected to WaihonaPeda
      • Type the name in the 'Person' field Now all persons connected to WaihonaPedia will appear with the same name.
      • Choose the right person
    • Go to 'Relation' and make a choice (e.g. grandpa or aunt)
    • 'Start': choose today's date
    • 'Can people call this person in an emergency' choose 'yes' or 'no' (NOTE: if you choose 'yes' the name and phone number of this person will be printed on the Alarm Card)
  • Click 'Save & View

Set rights

Now you're not quite ready.

  • You decide what rights this person gets concerning your child's account: can he/she fill in questionnaires, write experiences with your child and ask questions about your child? Or is he/she only allowed to read along?
  • Send us team WaihonaPedia an email with
    • the name of your child
    • the name of the person you added
    • What rights can this person enjoy: to write along or just read along?
  • we ensure that the rights are set according to your wishes.
