The Conference Venue

Leisure and touristic activities

Leisure and touristic activities

The area around the conference venue is called Islands Brygge, it was
a neighbourhood with heavy industry and shipping as well as living
quarters for the working class until only 20 – 25 years ago. The area
has developed into a creative and lively neighbourhood, which after the
renovation of many buildings and cleaning of the polluted sites, now
offers a variety of parks, swimming pools and play grounds. Café’s and
restaurants are located side by side at Islands Brygge with a wonderful
view over the harbour and the Copenhagen skyline.

Amager Strandpark offers beach and fun in the summertime. It is
located less than 10 minutes away from the conference venue. Take
the Metro line and get off at Amager Strand.

Copenhagen is usually very sunny and dry during the month of July;
average temperatures: daytime 18ºC and night time 10ºC.
