Constipation of the bowels (Obstipation)


        For parents, caregivers, health care providers, and teachers, concerns and questions often arise regarding the care and well-being of individuals with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. 

Constipation of the bowels (Obstipation) is common in CdLS and almost half of all people with the syndrome experience it. 

Treatment of constipation is no different in CdLS than for other people. Diarrhoea, flatulence (flatulence) and lactose intolerance (e.g. Milk Allergy) are also quite common in CdLS.
